DROP-WEIGHT PILING RIG

Drop-weight piling rig based on the successful Consallen F-55 clutchless freefall winch.

OPERATIONS

Designed round our clutchless F-55 freefall winch, the drop weight capacity is up to 500 Kg. The standard winch is belt driven from a Lister-Petter diesel engine, integral with the winch, but hydraulic drive is also available.

The hoist frame can be configured to allow the driving of tubes using either an internal drop hammer, or by top driving with leader and hammer guide.

The rig frame can be either wheel mounted - as a trailer type - or skid mounted.

PILE CASINGS

Pile casing tubes shown here are normally bottom driven, using an internal drop weight. Leading (bottom) sections are provided with a cruciform point. Follower tubes are socketed for site welding.

Piles are driven to a "set" specified by the designer, or to "refusal" if the foundation loads are taken down to a resistant layer.
